Spring time means party time in my world! So many friends and family have birthdays and I love when I’m asked for my assistance with their parties! I’ve known this birthday girl since she was in Kindergarten! Helping throw her sweet sixteen birthday party was such a joy!
The birthday girl had just one request for her party and that was the color scheme! She wanted pastel blue, pastel yellow and pastel pink. This time of year using those colors is perfection. Pastel florals are in season and being close to Easter didn’t hurt this theme either!
After chatting with the birthday girl’s mom we came up with a donut theme! Which was perfect with these colors.
Once the theme was decided I knew we had to have The Dapper Doughnut come and make their made to order mini donuts. The donuts were a huge hit with the kids and adults alike. I mean who doesn’t love a warm donut with their favorite toppings?
I added pops of iridescent colors to compliment the pastels and I love how it turned out. It felt perfect for a sweet sixteen party.

Planning a sweet sixteen birthday party can be tricky. I wanted to make sure it didn’t feel too grown up and also not too juvenile. I hear the birthday girl was pleased so I’m happy!
