Hey y’all! What a crazy 7 months this has been! I want to share our Home Renovation Part 1 to remember exactly where we came from. My prayer is that we NEVER take our home fore granted again. I have learned a lot about loss over the past two years with the death of my father and this flood. The biggest take away is to be grateful. It’s so easy to become lax about relationships or forget how much we have. There is always something to be grateful for and my intention is to make that my focus.
This sweet boy. He helped all he could and wanted to be just like Daddy.
This is the master bedroom after carpet and sheetrock were removed.
When it looked as if our neighborhood was indeed going to flood we left to stay with family. This photo is what we returned to after the water receded.
It took an army to get our house cleared out and ready for the remediation company. My husband was beyond super man for a solid week.
This is our neighbors house. They entered the neighborhood by boat to check on their home. It still makes me cringe to see the water in the house like that!
We would not have made it through without precious friends helping us. There are SO many but these two never left my side! We are so blessed!
Home Renovation Part 2 will be much more fun, I promise!
